Project Details

Layman's description

This project investigates the phraseological processing of non-native speakers of English. Through a series of psycholinguistic experiments, participants' processing of word combinations that differ in terms of compositionality and idiomaticity is studied through online measures of reaction time and accuracy. The role of the L1 in L2 processing is also investigated.
