Prognostic importance of sex-specific microvascular dysfunction in chronic coronary syndrome

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The aim of this study is to study sex differences in outcome in patients with suspected CCS, a retrospective cohort of approximately 1000 patients with an equal sex distribution have been included. All patients have follow-up times for > 10. Findings from the perfusion examinations will be cross-checked against national patient registries to enable assessment of outcome (major adverse cardiac events, hospitalization and death). The patients’ phenotype will be categorized into three different groups: A) Angina with stress-induced regional ischemia, B) Angina with normal perfusion distribution but signs of CMD, and C) Angina and none of the above.
