Description

The aim of the project is to understand how victims are represented when practitioners identify, categorize and respond to the exploitation of migrant workers and, by extension, the significance these representations have for the actual access to justice for victims of labor exploitation. The aim of the project is to understand how victims are represented when practitioners identify, categorize and respond to the exploitation of migrant workers and, by extension, the significance of these representations for the actual access to justice for victims of labor exploitation.

The starting point for the study is partly police reports on human trafficking for forced labor (2013-2020) and human exploitation (2018-2020), as well as interviews with government officials and non-profit organizations working with labor exploitation (e.g. the police, the Swedish Work Environment Authority, the Swedish Migration Board, trade unions, NGOs).
