Rethinking perceptual processes for the 21st century

My research project lies within recent theoretical advances based on probabilistic theories and Bayesian reasoning suggesting that mechanisms underlying visual perception are comparable to modern methods of statistical inference. The project will consist of a series of experimental work in order to investigate how sensory information from different sources (internal and external) can influence how individuals react to their current visual surroundings.
