Description

The fourth generation of materials is already here, where material design is interconnected with information technologies. Thus, we have shifted toward more intelligent biomaterials systems and processes. The properties of these biomaterials make them highly attractive for numerous biomedical applications. Integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) with biomaterials (design and performance) overcomes shortcomings such as time-consuming experimental and clinical trial periods in different applications, e.g. diagnostic devices, bone regeneration, wound healing, and drug delivery which are rapidly advancing.
