Signaling mediated effects of radiation therapy

Project: Dissertation

Project Details

Description

Non-irradiated cells suffer from radiation damage (bystander effect). Recent findings show that non-irradiated cells help irradiated cells (rescue effect). The traditional view of radiation response has thereby been questioned; cells cannot be envisioned as isolated units. In this project, we continue to investigate signaling mediated effects of radiation therapy.
