Project Details

Description

Accus AB plans, designs and installs signs for outdoor and indoor environments. The company positions itself in the market as a serious and innovative sign provider w ith practices aiming to develop products and services that minimize their environmental impact during production and use. To be more prepared and competitive for the benefit of the future, Accus has now set up targets to develop a broader product portfolio that are designed, manufactured and used with a circular and innovative mind-set, including: Design that takes into account materials, timelessness, durability, maintenance and, after use, the opportunity for recycling or remanufacturing as part of a sign offering or in another function.

Production and shipments w here production w aste and packaging are minimized and resources are used efficiently. Offer of a service sign instead of a product sign. The feasibility study aims to identify the potential of how the signs and services provided by Accus can become circular. By thinking innovatively and challenging norms related to production chain and business models, the study w ants to share a common vision with the actors of the value chain. This w ill be identified through dialogue w ith stakeholders, tests and
studies to provide grounded evidence.

The results of the project evaluation and analysis, together w ith appropriate partnerships identified in this study, lay the ground for a major development project, which could ultimately support a sustainable industrial development in Sweden. A partnership has initially been established with Accus´ largest supplier, Verbalux, and with Lund University, who will design
educational material based on the project.
