Project Details
Description
Social resilience is relatively a new concept that is seldom researched from a life course perspective using a phenomenological research approach. The main objective of this study is to investigate social resilience (both theoretically and empirically) in the context of young adult migrants residing in Sweden. This is a phenomenological research that will describe and interpret the lived experiences of young adult migrants as well as their interactions with the host country's social, political, economic, and cultural environments. A contextualized conceptualization of social resilience, as well as a qualitative review of the existing definitions are part of the research project that will provide theoretical insight. This study will provide research-based fresh insights into social resilience in the context of migration, that will be helpful to study social experiences and social integration that contribute to holistic well-being.
Popular science description
