St. Birgitta and posterity - the role of her confessor Bishop Alfonso of Jaén as administrator of her spiritual heritage

Ex-Bishop Alfonso of Jaén was entrusted by St. Birgitta of Sweden with the task of editing her revelations. He became the most important propagator of her message of reform. My dissertation was devoted to that subject and now many years later I have found that a desideratum for Birgittine scholarship is a Companion to St. Birgitta and the Birgittine Order, for which work I am making preparations.
