Description

SPARC is a research projecton cloudburst flood risk and its management, funded by FORMASduring 2022-2025. The objectiveof the project isto investigate potential use and added-value of participation and data crowdsourcingto collect high-resolution data on:1)Rainfall and flood characteristics, considering the rapid and local character of cloudbursts make them difficult to observe, predict and warn about,2)Urban flood damages, considering that urban flooding typically causes large damages to the built environment, and 3)Small-scale flood adaptation measures, considering the need for increased climate adaptation measures, both inmunicipalities and among homeowners.
