Description
Cannabinoid receptors are G protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) and potential therapeutic targets for chronic pain, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). However, current drugs are not sufficiently selective or efficacious, or have severe adverse effects, and therefore not applicable clinically. The aim of this research is to develop novel subtype-selective modulators for Cannabinoid receptors that can be used for the clinical treatment of chronic pain, PTSD and TBI by combing the approaches of structure biology and biochemistry.
