Project: Network

Project Details

Description

SWEMENA brings together different communities of researchers, practitioners and policy makers across Sweden. We all share an interest in the Middle East and North Africa region, as well as the commitment to produce research that is interdisciplinary, a source of dialogue and has a positive impact on policy and society.

SWEMENA aims at creating an environment that encourages dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaborations that can result in joint projects and research applications, as well as producing research that is engaging and accessible for the general public and a non-academic audience.

Our aims:

* To generate dialogue around shared topics of interest and create synergy between individuals and research institutions.
* To establish collaborations with non-academic institutions and organizations, engaging in conversation with the practitioners and business communities.
* To produce rigorous research with a wider impact on policy and society.
* To translate existing research into something that is accessible for the general public and non-experts.
