Technical development

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

In the technical project within the eChildHealth, we focus on eHealth solutions for families in situations where they can benefit from improved communication possibilities with the healthcare provider. We are researching and testing possible ways of finding technical solutions that are a) effective to develop, b) easy for everyone involved to use, c) easily accessible for families, and d) effective for staff to use. One method we use to accomplish this is to involve the users in the design processes from the very beginning and to collect their feedback on early solution prototypes. In practice, tablets are lent to families so that they can test the prototypes in real-life situations; using dedicated tablets, financial demands on families are avoided, while safety and integrity requirements can be achieved. Based on user feedback, the prototypes can be improved in multiple iterations.

The project is part of the FORTE-funded research program eChildhealth.
