Project Details

Popular science description

Graves are one of the most central archaeological sources to the past. However, the relationship between the materiality of death and the societies of the living is not straightforward. The aim of this project is to explore theoretical perspectives and methodological considerations deemed relevant for the study of graves; dealing with themes such as taphonomy, ritual, visuality, and identity.
