An international collaboration of 3000 scientists from 183 institutions around the world, representing 38 countries. ATLAS seeks knowledge on:
* What are the basic building blocks of matter?
* What happened to antimatter?
* What is “dark matter”?
^What was the early universe like and how will it evolve?
* How does gravity fit in?
A landmark for us was when we 2012 discovered the Higgs boson
