The project aims to investigate whether employing translanguaging as a method is beneficial in terms of multilingual students' acquisition of English. Translanguaging, in this study, refers to the possibility of incorporating other languages as a resource to aid in the communication of English.
The project strives to shed light on whether a less strict language use in the subject of English can have positive effects on the learning outcomes of multilingual students. In the study, multilingual students will be given the opportunity to draw on their background languages as a resource while preparing for the national test of English. The students' experiences are recorded in the form of questionnaire data and individual interviews.
