The flow of communication in text telephone (TTY) conversations between deaf peopl

The TTY was the first online technology for written communication - way before the computer chats, and until quite recently the most common use of written language among deaf people in Sweden. The usage is now decreasing, due to the inceasing possibilities of video conversations via mobile phones and computers. In this project we investigated experiences of and conventions in TTY communication.
