The imagery of the Greeks and Romans

Part of my research is given to the study of early Greek figural representations (14th-8th centuries B.C.), especially those on painted pottery: what do the repeated motifs show, and what can they tell us about the contemporary societies?
Else, I am working on a book that will introduce into the imagery of the Greek and Roman world, and the methods of research.
