Popular science description

My PhD-project is an investigation of how psychiatry and psychiatric diagnosis were increasingly mobilized to explain the problem of so-called ’difficult young girls’ in educational work at Danish reform schools during the 20th century. A key part of the project is to investigate the shifting meanings, functions and effects of the diagnosis ”psychopathy” at an institutional and individual level.
