PDA-CAP is a clinical, longitudinal cohort study recruiting children aged 7 to 18 yrs undergoing an assessment within CAP services in Region Skåne and Gothenburg concerning the presence of a neurodevelopmental disorders. The primary aim of the study is to investigate the prevalence of pathological demand avoidance, a phenotype previously described among patients with autism spectrum disorders, in this cohort. In addition, we aim to validate a Swedish version of the Extreme Demand Avoidance Questionnaire (EDA-Q) and to explore its relation to psychiatric comorbidity and parental stress in a longitudinal design.
