The picturing of health, healthcare and healthcare professions in children’s fiction books

Children’s fiction books touch upon elements of health, health professions, and healthcare systems. Children are socialised through history, their primary socialisation in the family, and their secondary socialisation through institutions, with more. Books can be a part of such socialisation processes, through which children form images of the nature of the world and its content. This project investigates different understandings and conceptions of health, health professions, and healthcare systems by analyzing children's fiction books.
