The Relations between Strindberg and Rydberg before the Modern Breakthrough

In my research I want to point out connection between Strindberg’s early dramas and Rydberg’s two works, The Last Athenian and The Bible's Doctrine Concerning Christ. The most distinct examples of connections are The Free-Thinker and Hermione – in the former you can find clear traces from Rydberg’s ideas, in the latter you can find a reply to the Hermione character in The Last Athenian.
