The Value of a Female Crime Writer

How does literary success get measured in the crime genre? Does it matter if the author in question is male or female? Many Swedish female and contemporary crime writers are considered to be very succesful and they are often portrayed visually in different types of media. The project investigates these aspects and how they effect the writing of some of the female crime writers in Sweden today.
