Popular science description
The project concerns the shifting cultural, social and political meanings of the Öresund border in Sweden and Denmark 1864-1952. The main question is if and how the emerging popular nationalism shaped and changed images of the border and the people on the other side. My project investigates discourses on borders and identities at the Baltic Exhibition in Malmö in 1914.
