Theoretical Macroevolutionary Ecology

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

We theoretically investigate large scale evolutionary processes, as driven by natural selection at the level of the individual. This includes ecological feedback mechanisms, interactions between co-evolving species and adaptive radiations. The overall aim is a general understanding of the evolution of communities and food webs. Such understanding is paramount for the interpretation of e.g. phylogeographic patterns of extant taxa.
