The purpose of the project was to study an anthology of sermons attributed to a certain Shu’ayb al-Hurayfish (d. ca. 1400), aiming at a characterization of the kind of preaching represented by al-Hurayfish (wa'z, qasas) as well as an assessment of what we may know of him and the social environment in which he is supposed to have worked.
