Project Details
Description
The aim of this proposal is to supply and expand biorefinery organisms by developing and providing versatile, aerobic, thermophilic, genetically amenable chassis species: Thermus thermophilus and Rhodothermus marinus.
These thermophilic aerobic heterotrophs, are in a sense preadapted biorefinery organisms, having suitable metabolism and physiological traits to enable sustainable production of complex added value chemicals from
different types of biomass. Funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation.
