Translations with an agenda: The Swedish introduction and translation of 19th-century British social-reform literature

Focusing on the Swedish translation and introduction of British 19th-c social-reform texts, the project examines how the translator´s agenda, and the purpose of his or her translation, influence the translated text. Translations from three areas will be examined: education, the woman question and social-reform work.
