Using a comprehensive nationwide blood donation-transfusion database to understand blood donor behavior and associations between blood groups and disease susceptibility

There are two overall aims of this project:

Firstly, to improve our understanding about the association between our blood groups and disease susceptibility, as well as other health outcomes as signaled by biochemistry markers.

Secondly, to better understand blood donor behavior, donation patterns, and donor health in relation to research, ultimately leading to improvements in the transfusion services and beyond.
