Project Details
Description
Based on the impact of the vegetation fire to the environment and human health, especially on the dryland in the Middle East, with higher possibility of fire occurrence, it is important to understand the vegetation fire pattern of the particular study area. To fill up the knowledge and research gap of the vegetation fire in the Middle East, this project attempt to provide an overview of the vegetation fire dynamic in 20 years of long-term observation. To achieve the goal, remote sensing data is utilized due to its time trackability and its ability to cover country level or cross-country level study area.
