Vocal loading and vocal recovery

The main aim for the project is to present a clinical approach to tracking processes involved in vocal loading and to tracking recovery from induced vocal fatigue and from vocal fold surgery of benign lesions. The project is theoretically based on the following rationale: The boundaries of what constitutes typical vocal function during loading has not yet been determined. Nor have guidelines for vocal recovery after vocal loading or vocal fold surgery been scientifically substantiated and on two hypotheses:
1. Vocal function has a breaking point for endurance, before it fatigues. This breaking point varies in different parts of the population.
2. Dynamic recovery of vocal anatomy and physiology has a higher success rate than recovery in silence post vocal fold surgery.
