Weapon burials in Scandinavia in the Middle Ages and Early Modern period

The aim of the project is partly a new inventory of burials with weapon, mainly swords from the Middle Ages and rapids from the Early Modern period in Scandinavia, partly an interpretation of the phenomena on the background of European examples and research, identified burials, contemporary written sources and the design of burial monuments. The inventory covers in total 66 burials in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
