Description
What do we know about our own eye movements? This project investigates our self-knowledge of eye movements, the possibilities for how this knowledge can be manipulated, and how our decision-making can be influenced when our eye movements are used to manipulate the world without us knowing about it.
In a series of experiments, our knowledge of our eye movements will be tested through gaze-contingent manipulations via eye-trackers, sometimes on computer screens and sometimes in virtual reality. Structured interviews will be used to investigate what kinds of experiences participants have when subjected to subtle manipulations. Decision tasks will be the standard task participants perform.
