Abstract

This chapter focuses on life science companies’ engagement with their university- based entrepreneurship ecosystem. It analyzes multiple case studies with life science companies based around Lund University in Sweden. Our results demonstrate that life science companies engage with their ecosystem through three interconnected engagement logics: network, relations, and governance. We propose a model that portrays these interconnections as being multi-layered, and theorises their contribution to the interdependencies of the ecosystem.
