Abstract

This article describes the collaborative creation of the curriculum for a new eLearning programme on daylighting design of buildings targeting both traditional and lifelong learners. The programme consists of an online platform integrated with a summer school for practical applications. The curriculum was developed through several workshops with professionals, representatives of national bodies on building regulations, academics, and a survey distributed among professional and potential users. The goal was to create a curriculum able to match the educational needs of society and the status of research by bridging the current gap between requirements set on daylighting by the latest regulation and the low level of education on daylighting in university curricula.
