Abstract
Will the appeal of the Western-led global democratic order triumph over China’s pragmatic approach to infrastructure investments? In this op-ed, PhD student Tabita Rosendal Ebbesen, Lund University, explores the possibility that the two new infrastructure investment initiatives proposed by the US and EU might pose a challenge to China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
