Abstract
The letters between the jewish Lilli Jahn and her four young children during 1943 and 1944 are analyzed as representation of reality, i e the terrible situation and fate of Lilli Jahn (murdered in Auschwitz) and the children, and as art, the conscious forming of the letters of Jahn, adhering to the norms of the familiar letter.
