Abstract
Inula conyzae was discovered in Vellinge, southwestern Skåne in July 2007 Twenty-seven plants were found along a slope leading down to a small pond, and eight more individuals were discovered on a field nearby. The population seems to be several years old, and will hopefully expand. This is the first record of I. conyzae in Sweden since 1974. We discuss possible ways of immigration from neighbouring countries. All localities in Sweden, Denmark and northernmost Germany are marked on a map. The average distance from recent localities to the Vellinge site is 108 kilometres.
