Abstract

A research program for the development of a method for computer-aided planning of homes and working environments for disabled people has recently started. The method is being tested at rehabilitation centres in realistic planning situations and has obtained positive response from both the disabled persons and the professionals such as occupational therapists. The requirements and features of the computer modelling techniques are discussed, and future improvements to the planning tool are suggested.
