Abstract

This paper will focus the effects of quality assurance in the Swedish health care sector and the auditing business. Our aim is to analyse, the two professions, doctors' and auditors', role in the development. The main issue is in what way the two professions have intervened in the development, introduction and implementation of the quality assurance programmes in the two fields amd whether or not these programmes have had an impact on existing control mechanisms.
