Abstract
This book, the concluding book in a series of three, analyses the Hebrew word chesed. This word is often translated into English as “grace” or “mercy”, but it can also be understood as, e.g., “solidarity”, “covenantal loyalty” and “generosity”. The book also addresses the dichotomy “law and grace”, and especially how some understandings of these theological concepts may need to be redefined, refined or even refuted, in the light of insights from the Jewish-Christian dialogue.
