Abstract
This article (in Swedish) outlines and discusses the Swedish reception of Charlotte Brontës Jane Eyre (1847) with a particular focus on the translation of the novel into Swedish. The first (indirect) Swedish translation appeared in 1850, and the novel has since been translated several times.
