N2 - This concert featured the world premiere of new music for serpent from the composers Orlando Bass, Henrik Denerin, Athena Corcoran-Tadd, and Jesse Ronneau (the latter also with live electronics). The concert opened with a performance of a 17th-century work from Girolamo Frescobaldi with Orlando Bass on harpsichord. There was also a visual presentation, illustrating the history of the serpent and bass horn for the audience. The new pieces were commissioned through the Stimulansmedel awarded by the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts of Lund University.
