    Abstract

    An excursion to Estonian Saaremaa is briefly reported on, where four botanists from department of systematic botany at university of Lund took part, hosted by professor Hans Trass and three colleagues from department of botany and ecology at Tartu state university. The excursions were mainly emphasized on the alvar localities in western Saaremaa and their lichen vegetation, which will be reported on in more detail in further publications
