Abstract

This is the third volume in Norstedt's new standard history of Sweden, spanning over the period 1350-1600, i.e. from the Black Death to the Vasa era. Of key importance in Dick Harrison's part of the book (the first half) is the plague epidemics of the late Middle Ages, the political culture of the Kalmar Union and the peasant upheavals in the fifteenth century.
