Abstract

Collaboration with Swedish trio Kv.Arken. Premiere of the piece "Sånger från Svartsten" written specifically for the trio’s unique composition, drawing inspiration from both Swedish and Ukrainian folk tunes. Mats has found inspiration for the work from, among other things, Gammelsvenskby and the Jewish klezmer tradition in Ukraine, as well as from the farm Svartsten in Gåsborn in Värmland, where he has his roots.
