Description

The Faculty of Social Sciences provides research, education and collaboration that is contributing to increase our knowledge and our understanding of the society, social processes and human conditions. The faculty encompasses more than 400 researchers and teachers and over 100 doctoral students. 5 700 full-time students are each year studying at our 38 Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes.

Research

Social sciences research is necessary to solve and to handle some of the great societal challenges - global, regional and local - of our time. The research at the Faculty of Social Sciences contributes among others to knowledge generating social innovations and socially sustainable development.
