The Sound Environment Centre at Lund University was established in March 2005. The centre is the first of its kind, both nationally and internationally. It is tasked with studying sound as a phenomenon, sound worlds and sound environments from a multi- and interdisciplinary perspective. It is a Lund University-wide body for education and research as well as external engagement in general for matters concerning sound and sound environments.
The Sound Environment Centre is an interdisciplinary centre focused on initiating, coordinating and stimulating interdisciplinary research on sound and sound environment.
