The aim of my PhD project is to explore the relationship between intelligence services and investigative journalism in Europe. The goal of the study is to examine and analyze the line between investigative journalism and terrorism/espionage. To do so, I will use in-depth interviews, argument analysis of judicial documents and scientific as well as non-scientific literature. The goal of my dissertation project is to formulate a sociological intelligence theory on how governments respond to journalists publishing intelligence information.
