- Music, Aesthetics
My work is situated between musicology, sound studies and digital culture.
In my dissertation I aim to situate the role of music historiography in a world where both consumption of, and learning about, music is managed algorithmically. With this as an outset I want to discuss how discourse and understanding of music history can/should relate itself to the meeting with music's contemporary digital being.
My research interests include: aesthetics, digital archives, music historigraphy, cultural theory, big data, film music, media theory.
